  1. Mariano,

You and Dawkins need to get a room. You're clearly obsessed with this guy.

  2. I'm thinking of starting a ChristianityIsDead blog. The first article will be about how Pat Robertson gave money to somebody. It's going to be awesome!

  3. In addition to reading Mariano's rather peculiar perspective on Camp Quest may I suggest you also read what Camp Quest has to say for themselves. Such as:

"The purpose of Camp Quest is to provide children of freethinking parents a residential summer camp dedicated to improving the human condition through rational inquiry, critical and creative thinking, scientific method, self-respect, ethics, competency, democracy, free speech, and the separation of religion and government guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States.

    You can read more at:

    http://www.camp-quest.org/

The reports that I've heard from children that have attended is that the camp is a lot of fun.

  5. Mariano your blog seems to attract Aspergers patients with the typical regularity of anybody who mentions PZ Meyers or any other such snake oil salesmen.

    Keep it up.

  7. There is a wide difference between the scientific method and the materialist "scientific ontology" that Dicky Dawkins and co are trying to pass off as the former.
Unfortunately the name Scientology was already taken before the before mentioned Dick to the Dawk took up his latest crusade with his army of Aspergers trolls.

    C'mon man!

I'll repeat: author of this blog thinks that Neanderthals are just humans suffering from rickets.

Talking about disregard for scientific method.

  9. Does Richard Dawkins realize “that his propaganda doesn’t work with the adults, so now he’s going to try it with the children.”

Isn't that what Dawkins was trying to do with the God Delusion? Only an angry and confused 14-year-old would have been convinced by the argumnents in that book.

  10. It does seem like the camp is trying to impose an idea on the kids. Using words like "unicorns" to demonstrate a point is unfair and simplistic. God for most people is much more than a horse. That is not the point, that is implying a negative concept on the kids. That is like saying "Children you don't believe that a blue man is real (smurf) now do you". "Now any kid who can prove that a blue man is real I will give them a reward"

Kids go by peer pressure and acceptance. This camp is telling them what to think, and if they disagree they are punished. Well rewarded, but to accept it based on the principals that they are setting up it is punishment. What kid wants to be on the outside.

Plus who is teaching those religious education in that camp. Atheists? Former believers. How fair is that? Do they teach them about athesits and atheist states and government. Too much bias in my opinion. The parents if they are atheist should spend time with their kids then send them to such a camp.
