The book is “Presuppositional Apologetics Stated & Defended” by Greg Bahnsen
Joel McDurmon, Director of Research for American Vision stated, “This is the work we all longed for Bahnsen to write, yet never knew that he already had written it!”
The following has also been reported about Greg Bahnsen:
Dr. Greg Bahnsen became known as the "man atheists fear most". This is because Harvard-educated Dr. Michael Martin was scheduled to debate Bahnsen but pulled out of the debate at the "eleventh hour" according to a press release at the time. The press release at the time said that Dr. Martin offered ruses on why he pulled out and didn't want the scheduled debate recorded but the real reason was that "...Michael Martin is afraid that he will be publicly humiliated just as his friend and fellow atheist, Dr. Gordon Stein, was...".
Greg Bahnsen was the apologist who famously debated Gordon Stein: that debate can be heard here and a lecture heard here.

FOUND AFTER BEING LOST FOR 20 YEARS:
Greg Bahnsen's lost book has been rescued from the dustbin of history. In what many consider to be his magnum opus, Bahnsen provides powerful methods for defending the Christian Faith against the skeptics once and for all.
What once was lost, now is found! Dr. Greg L. Bahnsen, the definitive champion of Cornelius Van Til’s revolutionary Reformed apologetical method, wrote this systematic treatise and defense of Biblical apologetics many years before his untimely death. Dr. Bahnsen received the typeset proofs for editing, but due to the unfortunate accidents of history the only copy was lost. The work, consequently, was never published.
In our Lord’s Providence, after some twenty years, our friends at Covenant Media Foundation discovered the lost proofs. They recently sent them to us at American Vision where our enthusiastic editors busily began preparing the work for publication. Finally, our work has paid off!
This magnum opus of apologetics lays out the Biblical presuppositional method, provides rigorous Biblical proof, and defends the uniqueness of the method. This is the work we all longed for Bahnsen to write, yet never knew that he already had written it! Now rescued from the dustbin of history, this monument of apologetics will provide must-reading for Christian defenders of the faith for generations to come.
I think that the Presuppositional Apologetics of the Blahblahblahists are considerably stronger. Presupposing that nothing is intelligible except in the light of the Holy Scriptures (found in the Holy Tome of I'm Right and you're Wrong unless you agree with me) their apologetics decisively demolish the claims of all comers. Those who refuse to use the Holy Tome of I'm Right and you're Wrong unless you agree with meas their starting ground are automatically dismissed as nonsensical, and once one has accepted the Truth of the Holy Tome of I'm Right and you're Wrong unless you agree with me, the conclusions of the Blahblahblahist apologetics are inescapable!
ReplyDeleteThe commenter above needs to actually read the book. He does not understand The nature of the argument. The presuppositional argument is that an atheist worldview does not supply the necessary preconditions to have a rational conversation to start with. It can be demonstrated that an atheist is actually borrowing from the Christian worldview when he tries to prove anything.
