  1. I would just like to inform you that atheism isn't a belief "system," it's just the dismissal of deities.

  2. Jared, atheism, by denying the possibility of deity, makes a statement of faith and belief, with no factual basis or tangible proof,just as surely as a system based on deity. Ultimately both are unprovable from tangible physical evidence available to us today, and yet both lead to belief and practice in every area of life. We can't prove beyond a shadow of doubt theism or atheism, so there must of necessity be an element of faith and belief in both sytems. Also, many atheists have been ready enough to believe in the possibility of aliens without tangible facts, such as Mr. Dawkins, so a belief system that reaches conclusions based on faith is clearly implied in atheistic thought.
