  1. He was asked about a statement he made during Douglas Adams’ funeral. One thing that they did not note is that Dawkins had told the, by then obviously deceased, Adams that he misses him. But just who was Dawkins addressing? Is this atheist necromancy or vestigial ancestor worship?

At 0:2:34 into part 2, Dawkins simply ask, “Are all the questions going to be like this?”

James wishes to present the personal opinion that this would appear to be a perfectly valid response to a rather rediculous question. Richard Dawkins can format his speech however he wishes: it is an emotional farewell to a great man, not a logical essay on his beliefs in the afterlife. Just as James can write in third person as a stylistic choise, so to can Professsor Dawkins address his farewells to someone who is no longer with us.

(hint, are pedophilia and rape in private are perfectly acceptable?!?!)

    ...

“Enjoy your own sex life (so long as it damages nobody else) and leave others to enjoy theirs in private whatever their inclinations, which are none of your business.”)

James would like you to consider the above two quotations and how they relate, because he believes you have answered your own question.

  2. Mariano:
It is time to completely disprove your God and after that Christ the Fraud. Christians are fond of saying that God is all powerful and all knowing as well as benevolent and just. Let us say if there was evil on Earth, then either God couldn’t stop it, which would put a limit on his powers or malevolent because he chose not to stop it. But Christians would say that is impossible God is all powerful and all good. But there is evil on Earth, which by the Christian definition disproves your God. Where does evil come from? Christians say from Humans because God gave them free will. But what does free will have to do with evil. With free will one has a choice of option A, B or C. All could be good, so in reality free will has nothing to do with evil. Let us see what the source of evil really is, according to the Bible.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

Exodus 32:14 And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.
Joshua 23:15 Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good things are come upon you,
which the LORD your God promised you; so shall the LORD bring upon you all evil things.

judges 9:23 Then God sent an evil spirit

1 Samuel 16:14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.

1 Kings 9:9 .therefore hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil.

So you like to worship an evil and blood thirsty God, who kills at the drop of a hat.
    1. God drowns the whole earth.
In Genesis 7:21–23, God drowns the entire population of the earth: men, women,
children, and fetuses. Only a single family survives. In Matthew 24:37–42, the evil
Jesus approves of this genocide and plans to repeat it when he returns.
    2. God kills half a million people. In 2 Chronicles 13:15–18, God helps the men of Judah kill 500,000 of their fellow Israelites.
    3. God slaughters all Egyptian firstborn.
In Exodus 12:29, God kills all Egyptian firstborn children and cattle because their
king was stubborn. It is obvious that the Bible is crap and so is its description of a Christian God. No wonder the Christian History is full of violence and death!
A real God would not do this.

What about Jesus who was a fraud and did not return for his second coming as promised
Jesus mistakenly tells his followers that he will return and establish his kingdom
    within their lifetime. Matthew 23:36 & 24:34
Amen, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation. (Matthew 23:36 NAB)
So with Evolution being taught in schools and the Bible banned, Christianity is indeed dead!

The problem of evil has been mulled over by theologians for many many years now, and they have come up with some fairly good arguments to address it. Though I find none of these arguments personally convincing (usually because they force the believer to read things into the text to match their predetermined opinion of God as benevolent), I can understand and accept that believers find them to be acceptable apologetics. Thus, it is very unlikely that you will be able to disprove God to Mariano, or to any other believer, by using the problem of evil.

So with Evolution being taught in schools and the Bible banned, Christianity is indeed dead!

Highly inaccurate. The bible is not banned in schools in any western society: it is, however, banned for teachers to use their official capacity to promote it's teachings.

I have doubts that christianity will ever truly die, although as time wears on it will no doubt change and develop for no reason other than survival. Views that were considered normal 50 years ago are harshly attacked by modern society: views that were considered normal 2000 years ago are rightly percieved as barbaric and evil. The entire field of apologetics has risen to keep the religon alive, and is doing an admirable job.

Nevertheless, it seems unlikely that christianity will ever have the same political power it once had. That aspect of religon everywhere is slowly dwindling, and short of a world war or other global disaster, I can see nothing to reverse the trend.

If God really annihilated evil from reality right now, would anyone us still be here? No.

  5. Maybe if "god" had just placed the "fallen angels" all into hell right off the bat instead of letting them run around and deceive "adam and eve" (you know, that talking serpent bit?), then perhaps this problem would never have arisen in the first place?

Or, if God had made Eve barren after she "sinned" and waited until adam and eve died out, then tried again with a new couple and kept going until they made the right "choice" this situation ("original sin") wouldn't have happened in the first place?

  6. Wait a minute. Mariano, you criticize Dawkins because he talks about things that he in your opinion, knows nothing about?

Yet you've made many blog posts dealing with evolution.

  7. Marcus: there is no evidence for a God do not make assertions you can't prove.

James: The Bible is not taught in public schools as for christianity I have disproven it on my website. just because the kooks do not accept evolution as fact does not change the fact that it happened!

  8. Hi Marcus:

Are you gay, you look cute!

  9. James:
The fact that theologians try to prove that their fictional God is benevolent does not stand up against the evidence and you Marcus should be paying special attention. The Old Testament paints God as a blood thirsty killer in addition there are many passages that state that God created evil himself. Anyone that can be brainwashed into believing that the God of the Bible is benevolent has some serious moral and reality issues!
